Advertising a newspaper in another newspaper? Can you even do that? Yes we can.The mission we faced was to make overseas companies see the value of the Yomiuri Shimbun as a powerful vehicle for communicating in Japan thanks to its overwhelming reach and impact on Japanese life.We figured there’s no better way to raise awareness of this prestigious Japanese newspaper than to create a first class example. We ran print ads in major European newspapers all the way through Paris Fashion Week to communicate the powerful influence this medium has in any industry. While we have vast experience in advertising for cars, alcohol, soft drinks, electronics, games, energy and medical, pushing media was a first.



Running throughout the Paris Fashion Week we were able to catch the eye of overseas players in the fashion industry and make them aware of the power the Yomiuri Shimbun has in kick starting trends. The client loved our work so much, they also featured it on two super-size billboards in the international Ginza district of Tokyo. (Ginza Printemps, 12m x 12m.)



We also created a series of ads directed at business leaders and Fortune 500 companies, which ran in financial and economic publications. To deliver our message, we created a light-hearted tone, such as infographics using sushi, to communicate the Yomiuri Shimbun’s powerful reach.
